Where Can I Serve?

Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations (Matt. 28). One of the most important values of Central Christian Church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads. C3 members are involved in a variety of ministries from serving on Sundays as greeters  and ushers; to volunteering with the Children’s and Youth ministries; to Senior adult ministries or community based outreach.

Outreach Ministries

Central Christian Church is honored to be part of the spread of God’s kingdom around the world. We are active in sending missionaries and supporting  missionaries both locally and globally with our money and with our prayers. In addition, a team of C3 members participates each year with Casas por Cristo to build homes for the needy in Mexico.

We encourage each member of our congregation to respond to God’s call for laborers. To some that call may mean moving to a foreign country; to others it is a call to live and minister in our own community. If you are interested in serving with an outreach team here at Central, please contact Pete Smith.

Life Groups Leaders (Discipleship)

Making disciples is the basic foundation for life at C3. Our congregation meets on Sundays for corporate worship and to learn and be encouraged together from God’s Word. Life Groups meet on Campus and in homes on Wednesday evenings at 7pm. C3 is always looking for volunteers who love to live and teach the truth of scripture and its application for everyday life. If you are interested in serving as a Life Group Leader please contact Pete Smith.

Men’s/Women’s/Family Ministries

Central Christian Church offers specialized ministries for all ages. Included in this are ministries that meet the needs of our men, women and families. We offer studies designed to encourage spiritual growth in each of these areas as well as events for connecting. If you are interested in participating in the planning and leadership of one of these ministry areas, please contact Pete Smith.

Prayer Warriors

The impact of prayer on a body of believers is often overlooked. Scripture teaches that earnest prayer moves the hand of God. C3  is a body of believers who are dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Throughout the week our Prayer Warriors pray for the pastoral staff, a list of church members with needs, any special requests, and missionary prayer needs. If you are interested in serving in this vital ministry please contact any member of your staff.

Youth Ministry

C3 has an exciting and vibrant ministry to youth (7-12 grade). Our youth group meets here on campus each Wednesday evening at 7pm for a time of fellowship, worship, teaching and games. In addition, the C3 youth meet on Sunday mornings to study together at 9:30am. Through the course of the year, C3 youth is involved with outreach ministries, summer camp, themed road trips and much, much more! If you have a desire to assist in the spiritual development of young adults and like to have tons of fun along the way; please contact the church office for more details.

Children’s Church

In order to give our children the best Bible teaching possible, Central holds a children’s church service in conjunction with the main service. This special time gives kids more opportunity for interaction and learning in a context and manner that may be better suited to their age and learning styles. Our friendly children’s church volunteers have an endless stream of creativity–ranging from puppet shows, to games, to object lessons. Volunteers in this areas are essential to the spiritual health of our families. If you are willing to be a servant in this area, please contact Children’s Director.

Worship/Media Team

Scripture commands, “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord”. (Psalm 150). Here at C3 we joyfully embrace that charge as we seek to minister to our diverse congregation. We offer both Traditional and Contemporary styles of worship. The Worship ministry is composed of more than 20 faithful people who have a heart for God and a love for music/media. Our Worship Team rehearses each Thursday evening (7-9pm) in preparation for Sunday services. If you have gifting instrumentally, vocally or technically and would like to serve, please contact our current Worship lead Chad Beauford.

The usher team at C3 fills an important role. They are involved in directing people to their seats, ensuring the safety of the building during services, guiding traffic, helping visitors, answering questions, providing direction, and generally ensuring that the service can proceed problem-free. The usher/greeter team is a servant-focused group of men and women whose ministry is integral to church life. If this is your area, you can sign up to serve in this role with Vicki Palmer.
